Michele Polci CPCE, CMP - CPCE of the Month

Michele is Director of Catering and Restaurant Sales for Harrah’s Entertainment in Las Vegas where she oversees the sales effort for all catered events and group dining requests across one million square feet of banquet and event space and more than 50 restaurants, nightclubs and lounges across seven Las Vegas properties: Bally’s Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Imperial Palace, Paris Las Vegas and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Michele leads a team of 20 sales people who specialize in social and corporate events business.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Michele began her career with Interstate Hotels Corporation at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After a short stint as human resources manager, she was transferred to the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley. During her six-year tenure, she held the positions of Executive Meeting Manager, Sales Manager and Convention Service Manager.

In 1997, Michele returned to Las Vegas and joined the team at the Rio-All Suite Hotel & Casino, where she held the position of Director of Catering for 11 years before being promoted to lead the new catering and restaurant sales team. Committed to the industry, Michele is actively involved in the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), and has held a string of positions on the local board, including treasurer, vice president, president, immediate past president, parliamentarian, and special project chair. In July 2007 she was honored by NACE as National Caterer of the Year for her endless enthusiasm, dedication and extraordinary commitment to the industry.
